Tony Smith addressed the annual safety and security conference in Damman, Saudi Arabia, on 4 March 2012.
Tony was invited to attend to deliver a keynote speech on safety and security from the UK standpoint. Tony referred in particular to his role as Director General of UK Border Force and his recent success in delivering a safe and secure Olympic Games – a role for which he was recognised with the award of a CBE in the 2013 New Year’s honours List.
